Club comp now taking entries

Hi guys,

With just over four weeks until the much anticipated first round of the revamped NHGC Club comp is due to be flown, we have opened entries.

To sign up for the club comp, please:

  1. Log in to the website (If you're not subscribed to the website, please create a new account)
  2. complete the Comp Entry form in the Menu at the top of the web page ( move your mouse to the Comp2010 menu that annoying red arrow is pointing at, then click on "Enter the 2010-11 Club Comp"
  3. submitting that form will make that horrible red arrow go away, and be replaced by a much friendlier block of instructions on how to pay by paypal or by direct deposit
  4. Pay your measly $25 entry fee
  5. Once your fee has been received, and acknowledged, your entry form will be validated, and the instructions on how to pay will then also disappear.
  6. For more info come along to the club meeting next wedneday 30/Jun/2010
  7. Turn up to as many rounds of the comp as you can, where you'll be learning, having fun, flying and hopefully winning

Should I register for Comp?

Since there's a team component, I'm wondering if I will screw it up by registering. I'll be away a lot for the next few months, and will not make my first round until possibly as late as Oct. (Might be here in Sept, unsure.)
Will this just let down my team, or is it OK the way it is structured?

Enter!

Hi Vic,

I'm encouraging you to enter, the comp is structured to allow pilots to drop rounds because not all pilots will make it to all rounds. And by getting names earlier rather than later it's easier to slot people in.

No doubt we'll be talking about how the comp will work, ie dropping rounds, scoring etc at Wednesday's meeting.

Pilots going OS or elsewhere please enter before going...

G'day,
Because there'll be a team component to this comp as well, pilots are encouraged to enter before they go, especially those that are racking off to sunny Europe and other places in the next little while.
