Ukrainians were the second largest national group in anti-Hitler coalition (as a part of USSR military forces).
2.7 _millions_ Nazi soldiers were killed in Eastern Front, where USSR had to fight almost solely with them.
330 _thousands_ Nazis were killed in Western Front.

So not sure where you personally would be now without Ukrainians (and other Soviets), those who you surprisingly found were on your side just a generation ago.
