We have a new King and his name is Dawson.

Do not grieve for ex-King Allan The Nice, for he is happy in the knowledge that the sceptre of power is now nicked from his feverish possession by the technically minded and ever so smart King Dawson The Clever.

Ex-King Allan will be long remembered for the fairness of his reign and the Global Financial Crash which he presided over. We wish him good sink rates and fair tail winds in his retirement.

The skies over the fair valley of Yarrawa was the scene of the battle. Knowing the spoils of victory included the most sought after crown in hang gliding and and a treasure chest full of good stuff, meant the gloves were off and the cheating was rampant.

Actually, fighting was fearsome and fair, the contenders were numerous and fearless, and the bravery outstanding. And like all good battles, everyone got up afterwards and had a disgustingly good time celebrating and carrying on. We were in such good spirits that we even decided to let the ex-King keep his head (well you have to leave something for next year – eh Dawson?).

As we have come to expect at the Marhiene’s the weather was beyond amazing and the hospitality was never ending. Where would we be without Pete and Christine? I hate to think. Heartfelt thanks from all of us.

Events like this run on contributions and everyone helped out to make it the weekend of weekends and just the most fun ever..

? To Harry for the chocolate cake and helping hand.
?To Dawson for transporting the extra wings and taking on the burden of power.
? To Dustan for manic amounts of ground help and the best homebrew anywhere.
? To Ron for hours of dolly retrieves
? To Stuie for being the safety guy and leaving the paraglider at home
? To Georgia for adding beauty and poise to the presentation
? To Splint for the movie show
And thanks to all who came to Singfest 2 and made it such a great time. It really wouldn’t have been the same without you.
