Yes, it’s approaching that time when we pay homage to all things Sting again. If you missed it last year then put down that birch branch, take off that gimp mask and sign up for this year.

Why?
Because this year it will be bigger and better and crustier than ever before, and with significant changes that reduce the big stuff and increase the small stuff producing a more glutenous texture all over.

For instance….
This year you can compete in ANY type of glider. You read right… ANY type! OMG!!
This year you can fly a STING and enter HERO CLASS, or fly something non-Sting and struggle in ZERO Class. (It is a STINGFEST after all.) HERO CLASS pilots will compete for trophies, prizes, glory and fame, whilst Zero Class competitors may have to wash up and do some onerous chores around the shed. (It is a STINGFEST after all.)

Once again the venue is the sky over Yarrawa and once again our hosts, the Marhienes – Pete & Christine, will be opening their doors in an act of pure foolishness. As usual the towing will be behind trikes, so get your endorsement and prep your gear.
And once again there will be food aplenty* and refreshments galore **.
Accommodation varies from swag in the shed for the deaf, tents for the sleepers, or town, for the well healed. Its all good.

The WHEN is Saturday 6th of March with back up on Sunday 7th of March. A post will be put up here on the evening of Wednesday 3rd March regarding weather issues.

How do I enter? Send an e-mail begging to be allowed in, to wingtech[at]idl.com.au. You will receive a reply with all manor of info, and it will help us sort the tugs and other logistics.
