Went up to Strezi and waited out the drizzle in the car. With rain seeming to be staying on the horizon I set up a borrowed FUN. Anton was there to cheer me on. He even went and got a deck chair for one of the older members of the public so they could be comfortable while he explained what I was about to do.
Nigel gave me a hang check and I took off into a smooth, wet breeze with a bit of SE in it. After a short while lift seemed to drop off on the main ridge so I hung around the monument and eventually made a run for Dicko but forgot that I was in a FUN and landed on the sandhill just short the steps leading up to the carpark at the southern end of Bar Beach.
The ankle is a bit sore after carrying the glider up the stays but YES I am back flying.

Caught him on the hill today looking hopeful but southerly died in the backside late arvo. Maybe tomorrow Rick.
