Stingfest

Stingfest 2009 has been and gone.

Thanks to Alby, Jan, Wingtech, Shane Duncan, Airborne, Pete and Christine Marheine for the great weekend.

We had wind, hiking, cycling, partying, hot fire, big BBQ and lots of flying on the Sunday which was perfect for everyone to get lots of airtime, plenty of towing practice and some thermals over the hills if you were in the right place.

Alby crowned Alan McMillan as Sting King, and he certainly deserved it after the number of tows he got in his Sting 3.

Pilots were testing demo Sting 154 and 168s and there was lots of happy faces.

Congratulations Sting King

Congratulations Sting King, you gotta love that trophy. Sounds like you were a bit of a sky pig Alan so well done. Great to see everyone had a good time. Sorry I missed it.

Totally Festerd

Thanks JOD - nice summary.

We all had a good time so I'd call it a success.

Thanks again, to the tug pilots Shane and Pete, to Jan & Christine who did the food and added some class, to Dustan for doing dolly and glider retrieves all day, and to everyone else who turned up and helped to make it the best Stingfest so far.

And congratulations to THE KING - Alan MacMillan. A well deserved win. Make the most of it Alan - we'll probably lop your head off next year when we crown the next STING KING.
