Finding a User

When ever a user creates content on the site their user name appears in blue as a link to their profile. See figure 1. From the user's profile page you can click the "Contact" button to send them an email or the "Send this user a message" to send them a PM(private message). See here for instructions contacting other users.

If the user has not created any content or you can't find any content that they have created then you can search for it. In the top left hand corner of the sidebar is a field where you can enter criteria with which to search the site. See figure 2. Type in the name of the user and press search.

You should see a result page but it will be for content. This is the default search setting. See figure 3. If you knew what content a user had created you could have entered the appropriate criteria and if that content had appeared in the results the user's name would be there for you to click. Let's just work with the user's name for now.

To repeat the search but looking in user names press the button labelled "User", above the results. Hopefully the user name you are looking for will appear in the results. If you click on it you will be taken to the user's profile page. See here for instructions contacting other users.
