Another 1000' day at Strezzie

Got another hour yesterday from Dicko with meaty SSE wind after the light drizzle most of the day.
Markus and Dave (newbies) were up at Merewether waiting paitently for Tony to return from the dunes but I was on a time limit so parked at Dicko for quick car access and flew down to Scenic and beyond in 18 knt SSE. Should have put the vario on as the bubbles up near cloud were strong. Ridge lift to 800' then five turns got me to about 1100' then off toward Merewether in slight head wind. Got to Mertewether at hill height to come in under Markus having fun.
Conrad turned up with Malibu and Ollie, Anousha, Carol Binda and new babies for some dune gooning. While I did high laps he was doing touch and goes for Ollie's big digital camera while the families played on the deserted beach 1000' foot below me.
A quick 15 minutes in Conrads glider down low before I was off to cook tea at home.
The day before (Monday) was similar with good air off Merewether by myseff and about 900' at Scenic in SSE then laps between Scenic and Dicko.
With no daylight saving now it gets lonely up there - eh Stuie. Even Harry is giving it a rest with a sore back.
Hopefully Easter will see a few more pilots out on the hill.
