The Central West Classic comp has been successfully run. 25 pilots competed for 5 competition days, with lots of good flying done.
Results are located at wow.asn.au.
Josh Woods took it out, but he was pushed all the way by Jonny Durand flying a Gecko. Guy Hubbard came third, and relatively new to inland (but not new to HG) Johnboy Spencer (a NHGC member) came in forth.
A lot of low hour and kingposted pilots competed, and significant personal bests were achieved.
Gulgong had received lots of rain in the weeks prior, so the thermals were soft, and the moisture meant clouds marked the thermals.
Tuggies did a great job getting all the pilots into the air and without incident.
Stay tuned for next years event... It will be bigger and better.
