Newcastle South Leagues Club, Merewether.
There have been some scoring problems and we were forced to score manually which meant that the places changed from those that were announced yesterday . . .
Davis has kindly posted the scores here . . .
The winds were even stronger today as we arrived at the hanger. The briefing was centred around wether to move the comp to Manilla or possibly even Forbes. In the end the majority vote was to stay at Dalby and ride out the next couple of days while cyclone Hamish does his thing . . .

The wind sock is horizontal but the CUs go on forever. The theroy was that by going to Manilla we might avoid the wind and then come back to Dalby for Friday and Saturday but various issues were put forth. Still some pilots headed off for a couple of days of free flying in Manilla but a vote not to suspend the comp was also carried which means if the winds do drop tomorrow or Thursday we might fly. Curt Warren is keen to try for a world record if the wind drops just a bit.

The "Small Office" team voted to stay but then we have to be carefull not to start drinking too early but I have to say that the comradship there is all part of the fun of a comp too.
