Gloucester Aero Club Fly In

25/10/2008 12:00 am
Australia/Sydney

A chance to be in on the beginning of something good.
Be there for the first Gloucester Aero Club Fly In.

Fancy a weekend in the country?

Want to reconnect with your aviation roots (or someone else’s!!)?

How about joining us at Gloucester Aero Club for our first Annual Fly In.

Gloucester is west of Taree in a really lovely part of NSW. It’s worth a visit anytime,
but especially the weekend 25th/26th October 2008. It’s open to anyone who can beg,
borrow, steal or scam a ride in any sort of flying machine; we’d love to see you all. In
fact you’re welcome to join us by car if you must!

We’re planning a general fly-in on Saturday. Around mid afternoon there’ll be a chance
to embarrass yourself in your own or the club aeroplane (a C172) for local scenics,
maybe some spot landing/ flour bombing and other flying related activities. We’re plan-
ning a big BBQ dinner on Saturday night with a (very) large bonfire around which lie tell-
ing will be encouraged. There’ll be brekkie Sunday morning before departing at your
leisure.

We have lovely clubhouse and camping facilities available (shower, toilets, kitchen)
plenty of soft grass or hangar floor and there’s a Motel or two in town if you’d prefer
one of those little paper sashes across the toilet seat. There’ll be a nominal charge for
camping, dinner and breakfast as well as a chance to contribute to our chosen charity,
the local Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

If you’d like to be in on what I hope will turn out to be a great annual event.
Please RSVP with the following details;
-How many people in your party?
-If you’re flying in do you have spare seats available ?
-Would you like to come but need a lift?

We’d appreciate responses by 15th October so I can get catering sorted.
