Winter Flying

Hi There.

Saturday was flyable, so our novices proved. Whilst all of us old fogies were standing around they were doing it!

I watched Kadman (Sorry don't know if that's spelled right), the second generation of Bartons, taking off with gusto. He was followed by Jubbs whom I've been hearing great things about. Jubbs was egging Ward on, not sure if he actually flew but he was certainly set up.
Conditions were average SSW with some SW thrown in.

The day was good looking though so here are a few pictures to show off our familiar coast line

The NEW Merewether launch

As you may or may not know, there has been significant work carried out recently at Merewether to clear trees/shrubs down to a much lower level than we have ever been previously able to achieve. This has been due to the excellent work carried out by previous committee members in establishing a line of communication and understanding with National Parks and Wildlife rangers responsible for that area.

SE Broke Lagoona sightseeing

Saturday has a light wind forecast from SE to NE in the afternoon with moderate strength lift. A good forcast for SE Broke, hopefully it was also a good day for those out flying Doolies (it would be good to hear how it went there, perhaps a upcoming story?). A lot of pilots turned up to enjoy the day at SE Broke, Jamie was kind enough to drive, locals included Ebbs, Jason, Rorey, Ward, MattH, special welcome to Howard who flew with us for the first time.
